ENABLING THE GROWTH OF TECH IN BC

The BC Technology Industry Association (BCTIA) is an industry-funded organization committed to growing British Columbia's technology industry. As the Voice for Technology, our membership spans across the province and includes technology and professional services companies of all sizes and from every sector.

Our programs and services connect people, generate new ideas, and help companies grow. These include the Technology Impact Awards (TIAs), where excellence in innovation is celebrated, Peer2Peer groups, where members connect to learn, and Centre4Growth, where tech entrepreneurs connect with seasoned coaches to help guide them to the next level.

WHAT WE DO

We facilitate partnerships, policies and programs to develop a positive business environment where technology companies will grow and prosper through:

• Providing advocacy and exerting political influence on behalf of the BC tech industry
• Delivering growth-focused programs and events
• Creating public awareness through a broad range of communications
• Providing professional development and peer networking forums
• Offering cost-saving business services to increase competitiveness and reduce bottom-line expenses

Our History

The BCTIA was officially incorporated in 1993 after the amalgamation of the Electronic Manufacturers' Association of British Columbia (EMABC) and the Information Technology Association of Canada, BC Chapter (ITAC-BC). The Association is recognized locally, provincially and nationally as the voice of BC’s technology industry.
