All of us can share the experience of being lost in a large complex venue such as an airport, shopping center, hospital etc. And venues the World over spend almost $8 Billion a year on some sort of signage to alleviate their visitors’ wayfinding anxieties.
So in a way never before possible, Wifarer has developed a software only indoor positioning system that works in conjunction with the Wifarer App or API to pinpoint a user’s location in an indoor environment to an granularity of between 1-3m.
Once Wifarer has located a user, it can offer the following services:
- Wayfinding/navigation – Wifarer can provide turn-by-turn directions indoors as well as time and distance to a selected target. Wifarer supports multi-floor venues.
- LBS – Wifarer can deliver granular location relevant content which may include, coupons, contextual multi-media, news alerts etc.
- Analytics – Wifarer provides the venue with an aggregated record of anonymous use, which can answer questions such as who uses the venue, how they use it and where they go.
- In sum, Wifarer provides a visitor with a personal guide through a venue and the venue with a way to monetize, analyze and optimize their visitor’s journey.
