September 25, 2010 || Canary Derby

The BC technology community is again challenging companies to fight back against cancer by either entering a team or sponsoring the 2010 Canary Derby Weekend. 

Location: Deer Lake Park, Burnaby

The 2009 Vancouver and Victoria Canary Derby's raised a total of $242,000, with ALL funds directed to ground breaking early cancer detection research.

October 25-27, 2010 || 2010 Power Smart Forum & Excellence Awards

This year, BC Hydro is combining its popular Power Smart Excellence Awards and the Power Smart Forum into one exciting event: the 2010 Power Smart Forum & Excellence Awards. The event takes place from October 25 – 27 at the Vancouver Convention Centre.

BC Hydro has just issued a call for nominations for the Workplace Conservation Leadership award, www.bchydro.com/awards, which recognizes an individual or team that has instilled an energy conservation ethic within their organization.

It has also issued a call for speakers for the Forum, with a link to details and proposed speaking topics at www.bchydro.com/forum. This call invites people who have successfully implemented energy-efficiency and conservation strategies in their organizations to share their experience and expertise.
