September 1, 2010 Engage in R&D with researchers and receive $25K funding
The Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) recently launched a new program to help companies forge new R&D partnerships with academic researchers.
Through Engage Grants, companies and academic researchers work together on short-term research projects that address a company-specific problem, with NSERC funding up to $25,000 for the direct costs of research. The program helps build new relationships between companies and academic researchers.
Since the program launch in November of last year, 51 Engage Grants have been awarded in British Columbia, totalling over $1.3 million.
For more information on Engage Grants and other cost-shared programs, contact NSERC’s Pacific Regional Office: http://www.nserc-crsng.gc.ca/Regional-Regionaux/Pacific-Pacifique_eng.asp .
